If you are interested in browsing, have a look at Bateen Shipyard, where traditional dhows are built. If you want to board one of these boats, the Dhow Harbour offers gourmet cruises in the bay of Abu Dhabi. For cultural parenthesis, do not miss the great mosque of Sheikh Zayed, the third largest in the world! Finally, to rest from all these visits, the Khalifa Park offers a heavenly setting, relaxing and green.
Unlike the port of Dubai, it is mainly for tourism. So you can embark on one of these traditional vessels to the round of the Abu Dhabi bay while enjoying a gourmet menu.

However, if you start to get tired titanic malls and hotels bling bling, there is still some way to make a "back to basics". In addition to its desert, Abu Dhabi is fortunate to have several islands in the bay (link). They are home to animals, parks and beautiful beaches, but you will still not escape a few large hotels and souvenir merchants. Although less touristy is Al-Ain (link) oasis; this ancient city in the heart of the desert, that any nicknamed "Garden of the Gulf". Fewer buildings, more gardens, in short, what a breath of fresh air.

Among all, two were connected by bridges.
